100% Desi Gir Cow Milk
- Milk Required: ~25 to 30 Liters
- Only milk from free-grazing, grass-fed Gir cows is used.
- No hormones. No antibiotics. Just pure, natural milk.
Cow Grass / Organic Fodder
Our Gir cows are not fed factory grain. Instead, they graze on:
- Organic green fodder
- Organic green fodder
- Mineral supplements and seasonal produce
Feeding a healthy Gir cow takes 2–3 days of milk from one cow to make just 1 litre of ghee — hence the fodder cost per litre adds up.
Labour Charges
The ghee is made using the vedic Bilona method, which is time-consuming and fully manual:
The butter that rises is collected carefully.
- Curd is hand-churned to extract butter
- Butter is then slow-cooked to obtain ghee
- The entire process takes 4–6 hours per litre
Each step requires human effort, care, and skill — not machines. You’re paying for artisanal quality.
Fuel & Cooking
We slow-cook the butter over low flame using:
- Firewood, LPG, or cow dung cakes
- This adds time and fuel expenses — but results in nutrient-rich, aromatic ghee.
Packaging (Glass Jar)
We package every batch in:
- Reusable, food-grade glass jars
- Secure metal caps, inner seals, and outer branding labels
- Glass protects quality better than plastic, though it adds weight and cost.
Transport & Storage
Bringing the ghee safely to your home involves:
- Hygienic storage (especially in warmer climates)
- Cushion-packed transportation to avoid breakage
- Distribution costs to remote and urban areas
OWe ensure the ghee remains fresh, intact, and unspoiled till it reaches your kitchen.
Final Thoughts
In every jar of our desi ghee, you’ll find:

We invite you to taste the difference that the traditional Bilona method makes. It’s more than ghee—it’s a return to mindful, healthy living.
